Women's Day Trip: Killington Bike Park

Calling all lady shredders!

Join the Stowe Mountain Bike Academy for a women’s day of downhill mountain biking at the Killington Bike Park! We’ll spend the day riding lift-served trails and working on our technical descending skills, including high speed cornering and basic jumping techniques.

Downhill bikes, full-face helmets, elbow/knee pads and bike shoes can all be rented from the Killington bike shop. If you are a Vermont Mountain Bike Association (VMBA) member and haven’t used your free Killington Bike Park lift ticket, this is a great time to cash in!

If bringing your own bike, an aggressive trail or enduro mountain bike is recommended. Transportation (for riders and bikes) will be provided by the Stowe Mountain Bike Academy from the Stowe Middle School Parking Lot at 8:30am and return at 5pm.

First time downhill riders welcome!

Cost: $85/person*

* Includes instruction, guiding and transportation to and from Killington Mountain Resort. Rental equipment, bike park passes and food/beverages not included.

Wednesday Women's Clinic:

Join SMBA coach Ross Scatchard for an intermediate level ride tackling the technical climb to the Trapps Cabin. We will start the session with practice in the field covering various climbing techniques and skills practice to carry momentum over rocky and rooty terrain. Then take these new skills to the trail and session sections on our way toward the cabin.

Riders should have experience riding similar trails such as Tapline, Luce Hill Loop, or Kimmers. Our goal will be to improve on the challenging corners and rocky climbs and make the climb to the cabin eventually become a smoother rolling ride with friends and family.
