The Fun with Fundamentals clinic will work with riders of varying ages that are new to mountain biking. The goal of this group is to build fundamental mountain bike skills for the new rider so they can jump into our progression based camps as their skills grow.

Riders in this program will have confidence with hand breaking and beginner gear shifting as well as some double track/gravel experience. This program is ideal for a rider new to mountain biking or for those looking to build their confidence before heading to the trails.

The Fun with Fundamentals group will start at the beginning with correct bike setup and positioning for each rider. From there we can safely practice balance and standing with level pedals, braking, shifting, and bike/body stance.

A variety of drills and games will reinforce these new skills so they can easily be applied once we move to the trails.

Fun with Fundamentals will meet for practice at the Trapps Family Lodge Outdoor Center

Equipment: Bike in good working condition, helmet, camelbak or water bottle/cage
